Our launch date was set at Thursday, 5th May 2022 giving us time to re-organise the pack-up and renting of our home and allow enough time for Western Australia to open the border and keep it open long enough to give us some sort of comfort that it will stay open.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-rounded\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rjjc.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/AntnDee-300x243.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1800\" width=\"150\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rjjc.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/AntnDee-300x243.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rjjc.net\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/AntnDee.jpg 699w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Ant &amp; Dee<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Ironically, our nephew Anthony and his wife Dee started their &#8216;big lap&#8217; two months before us risking that the W.A. border would be open by the time they got there. Luckily they timed it perfectly because they&#8217;re on a tighter schedule than us and we get the benefit of their knowledge for when we get there, although we will likely be travelling in the opposite direction. Originally we were planning to travel slowly across to W.A. and spend Chrismas 2021 in Margaret River but COVID kyboshed that plan. Now that we&#8217;re leaving in May 2022, with the onset of winter, we&#8217;ll be travelling through the bottom of Victoria over to Adelaide and then turning north to see Uluru in the &#8216;cooler&#8217; winter months.
